Staples High School
Staples is a front-runner in the state and nation for its rich curriculum and its broad range of extracurricular activities.
A massive building and renovation project was completed in 2006, and both students and teachers are enjoying a magnificent environment designed to enhance teaching and learning.

Academics
- April 2004 - The Wall Street Journal published an article on top public and private high schools. They compared admission rates to highly selective colleges. - 2003 - The New England Association of Schools and Colleges identified Staples as one of the top high schools in New England.
- 2006 - Siemens rates Staples "top CT high school for Math and Science".
- 2006 - Staples wins Moody Mega Math Challenge.
- 2007 - 34 National Merit Letter of Commendation Winners
- 2007 - 9 National Merit Finalists
- 2007 - 1 Intel Science Talent Search National Semi-finalist
