Staples High School
ABC Westport scholars attend Staples High School. Staples, founded in 1884, a comprehensive public high school in Westport, CT serving grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 1,700 student and 200 faculty members. Staples is credited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and consistently ranked as one of the top high schools in Connecticut.

Staples course work is engaging, rigorous and comprehensive with currently 25 AP and 36 honors courses offered.
Examples include an AP class in Computer Science and Honors Classes in Mythology and Bible, Global Themes and Digital Media.
Other interesting course work include financial decision making, stagecraft and animation.

97% of Staples graduates attend post-secondary institutions—and are supported by more than 10 guidance counselors in the process.

Staples High School has an athletic program that has a long-standing tradition of excellence in competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Staples has Thirty-seven varsity athletic teams that compete under the school mascot, a construction worker named ‘The Wrecker’.

Athletic teams for boys include soccer, football, water polo and cross country in the fall; basketball and indoor track in the winter; and lacrosse, outdoor track and rugby in the spring.

ABC Scholars have active participation in vibrant art, music and theater programs.
As part of Staples Music, ABC Scholars can take classes in music technology, for example, a class that teaches students how to utilize software and digital instruments to create and compose music.

ABC Scholars can also choose to join Staples Chorus, Orchestra and Band and participate in seasonal concerts.
